The grasses (Poaceae) 🌾
In this group, all photos of grasses are allowed (All plants belonging to the family Poaceae : Miscanthus, Festuca, Phyllostachys, Poa, Triticum and many others...but not Carex) : in other words any plant with tiny flowers grouped in spikes, with a hollow stem. The grasses (or Poaceae) comprise about 12,000 species grouped into 780 genera, with a cosmopolitan distribution. It is the fifth largest family of flowering plants by number of species. They are fairly common plants, but we don't really look for them. And some of them are not so easy to distinguish from others! That is why I would like this group to be a group of sharing, knowledge and mutual help.
